Fostering Learning Cohorts
Our Story
Training Sessions
The Minnesota Network of Rural Community Developers formed in 2015 to increase the vibrancy of rural Minnesota communities by fostering the strongest possible professional competencies and networks among rural community development practitioners. Network members decided the best ways to achieve this goal were in-person training, as well as an online tool that offers additional information and an opportunity to form an electronic learning community and ongoing access to additional, content-specific training opportunities.
Over three, two-day sessions participants will understand their leadership strengths, grasp the underpinnings of community development work; learn new community engagement approaches; work across differences that make a difference; assess community readiness for change; develop a customized action plan, sustain community development. These residential two-day sessions will maximize the opportunity for participants to develop a professional network with other participants.
